JUODA IR BALTA

JUODA IR BALTA

I was once having a conversation with a friend who concluded that black and white photography is just a lazy man's style of photography. I told her straight away that I beg to differ. The reason I disagreed was that I feel there is something special about photographs taken in black and white. While I am not claiming to be an expert when it comes to photography, I've always viewed or regard black and white pictures as a form of timeless piece of art due to the way they  bring the past to the present, and the present to the future. According to Cannon, photographs taken in black and white produces a strong image from a subject that might look weaker in colour. Now you might say that my  friend has a point with her conclusion, however from my own personal experience black and white pictures still carries an unexplained evocative spell with them.

What do you think of black and white photography?

I love black and white photography, especially when there is high contrast so the white really pops and the grey/black is dark and moody. Pictures always get a certain cool edge when they are in black and white.

I love B&W photography although I usually take pictures in colour. I don’t exactly agree with your friend, there is a lot that goes into getting a good shot with B&W pictures too.

Black and white photos tell so much more of a story and has a emotional feel to them!

It’s a way of portraying something, an emotion, a state of being..one that color photographs can’t always portray.
